Prescription Drug Addiction

Prescription Drug Treatment Center in Minneapolis

About 90% of today’s prescription drug addiction treatment programs base their treatment heavily on traditional 12-step methods, therapy, and prescribing psychiatric drugs. Many of those facilities have welcomed psychiatrists in to introduce new drugs to replace your old ones. Psychiatric drugs now widely dispensed in treatment programs, like street drugs, cause their own addiction and withdrawal, and are known to alter brain structure permanently. This type of treatment does not address underlying factors that cause addiction and acts as a band-aid instead of a cure.

Biochemical Repair for a Physical Disease

Health Recovery Center leads the U.S. for successful outcomes in addiction treatment; we treat the underlying causes of addictions and mental health disorders using a sophisticated, science-based model of restoration developed and refined for over 30 years.

Of course, we also incorporate therapy, but we recognize the effectiveness of it only occurs after chemical imbalances distorting the brain have been fixed. We believe that talk alone can do nothing to stop cravings from prescription drug abuse and is ineffective for someone with faulty brain chemistry.

Many people have chased addictive chemicals to get the biochemical changes that brought momentary relief to their brains, only to learn that no drug (street or psychiatric) can sustain a feeling of well-being.

What Makes Addiction Treatment at Health Recovery Center Different?

With our intensive outpatient addiction treatment program, we emphasize the physical component of addiction, unlike other treatment centers. We identify which biochemical issues each individual has by conducting lab tests, reviewing family history, and health history. We tailor our addiction treatment based on the needs of the individual. We do not have a one-size-fits-all approach to our treatment. We combine physical and psychological treatment in our holistic approach to opioid addiction treatment.

Our Treatment Includes:

  • Complete drug detoxing with customized IVs and “by mouth” formulas.
  • Individualized medical support both during and after detox
  • Genetic evaluations, which reveal heritable factors that influence a patient’s disease
  • Labs, which bring to light nutritional deficiencies, chemical imbalances, and allergies
  • Individual and group therapies

The Prescription Drug Treatment You’ve Been Looking For

The ill-conceived conventional approaches, used in nearly all prescription drug treatment programs today, have prompted the industry to proclaim that “relapse is part of the treatment process.” At Health Recovery Center, we strive for better. Addiction treatment is a significant investment both financially and for your time. We want to get it right the first time, and do not want to see you relapse or return to treatment. If you’re ready for a permanent sobriety solution, contact us today.

What is the Length of the Program?

HRC’s treatment program cover an intensive six weeks (36 days). Repairing the brain and establishing biochemical balance makes for a long list of things to do in this short amount of time; you will find that the six weeks flies by.

Complications, such as weaning off psychiatric drugs, may require additional time within the program to stabilize some clients. These matters are determined on an individual basis after you check in.

Is the HRC program for Substance Use Disorders Inpatient or Outpatient?

Health Recovery Center is an intensive outpatient treatment center licensed by the State of Minnesota. This means that clients are not confined to our facility, nor do we supply meals. What we do provide is a biomedical treatment program combined with therapy to help clients rebuild their health and regain control of their life.

Should Someone Stay with a Client When They Go Through the Program?

This answer is determined on an individual basis. Because some of our clients are very sick, they often require assistance to effectively progress through our program. Regardless, the support of friends or loved ones is always beneficial to a difficult healing process.
