External Resources to Help You on Your Healing Journey

HRC’s treatment plan was founded both on compassion and the scientific success of biochemical repair. The resources below will help you learn more about our revolutionary philosophies, as well as provide support for the addict currently in treatment with us.

The books Seven Weeks to Sobriety and Depression Free Naturally, both authored or coauthored by Joan Mathews Larson, PHD, further detail the science behind biochemical repair. They explain how diet and lifestyle changes are ultimately the best weapon for combating any number of mental ailments or substance abuse problems. Seven Weeks takes a much more linear structure in its descriptions of the recovering addict, while Depression Free takes a much broader look at the biochemical repair that is needed to treat mental illness.

Nutritional supplements and biochemical support are crucial not just for the recovering addict or the mentally ill individual, but for a majority of Americans whose diets and lifestyles do not line up with what their brains need to stay healthy. Learn here about the products that facilitate biochemical health and repair.

The Rob Mathews Memorial Foundation was created by Joan Mathews Larson in memoriam of her son, who passed away by suicide after participating in a twelve-step program to treat his alcohol abuse. Its mission is to support the research of ecological, evidence-based treatments of the mental illness and substance abuse problems that plague America today. It also strives to help bring biochemical treatment to the impoverished and educate medical professionals about this new approach.
